When we were kids, our parents taught us that hard work and persistence are the only way to succeed in anything in life. Nothing comes easy, it takes time and effort if you want to make your dreams a reality, right?

Well, why work hard, and is it worth dedicating years of your life? What is the point in doing that if you cannot see the end goal? Why be persistent at all? Here is why.

So, let us cut to the chase: what is actually persistence? It is finishing the job you started. Not giving up in spite of obstacles. It is not slamming your head against a brick wall 1000 times. That is called being stubborn!

Persistent people overcome obstacles and find different ways to reach their goals. But what makes you persistent about something?

It is the only cause of persistence. Believing that you will reach your goal no matter what it takes.

Here is the thing: if you are ready to pay any cost to get something that you want, it is very unlikely that you will not get it. If you are willing to invest years, a ridiculous amount of energy and effort, and sacrifice almost anything for that goal, you will reach your destination. As the saying goes:

“You can’t keep a good man down!”

The problem is that more often than not, people are not ready to invest so much into reaching a goal. Of course, you have to do the cost/benefit analysis first.

To be perfectly honest: not every goal is worth the years of your life. But, if it is really your top priority, then just go for it!

We usually don’t know the steps to reach our goal. But that should not concern you. Any obstacle that comes your way, you will overcome it with persistence and hard work. If you come to a wall, you will find a way to go around it. The universe itself will help you because you are on a mission. You will earn your knowledge and luck on the way towards success.

As you keep going, you will find proof that you are on the right track. That will strengthen your belief, which will in turn further strengthen your persistence.

Just keep believing! That is your fuel and navigation system at the same time, your “way shower”. If you follow your inner guidance and your real passion, you cannot fail. You will change along the way, maybe your destination will change also, but you will fulfill your destiny. Good luck!
